About the Design
Each window box kit includes a front panel, back panel, bottom panel, left end cap, right end cap, vinyl glue, and two wall mount brackets with screws. The side and bottom panels can be cut down to fit any size window. Decorative brackets are also available. The sub-irrigation design ensures only the roots are in contact with highly oxygenated and clean water. The dirt on top does not hold the water which helps prevent mold, root rot and other plant diseases. Although not a true hydroponic system, the sub-irrigation system used in these beautiful planters provides a better flow of nutrients to your plant. Once your seedlings are established, depending on rainfall, you can leave these window boxes to their own devices. The planters also come with a pre-drilled drainage hole and plug.
